The Irish Dance Academy of Alaska, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1997 to promote Irish dance and culture. We lead our dancers, musicians, artists and audiences into the spirit of the dance through teaching and performing of traditional Irish dance forms. We are dedicated to perfecting the skills of dancers, representing the highest standards of Irish dance. Our atmosphere provides the opportunity for personal growth, individual expression and interpretation through participation in local performances and competitions within the Irish Celtic arts community. Irish dance traditions are preserved and interpreted with modern adaptations of music for today's audiences.
